About Paul Slater

Since graduating from the Royal College of Art Paul Slater has painted and illustrated continuously.  Many magazine covers, book covers, magazine articles and advertisements. He illustrated the restaurant reviews in The Times Saturday Magazine, every week ( bar a few whilst on holiday) for twenty years, and  The Express Saturday Magazine for ten years. He was also the cover artist for The Week for many years.  Most recently he has completed a jigsaw/mural for Heston Blumenthal in The Fat Duck restaurant, Melbourne.

Paul has exhibited many of his own paintings nationally and internationally. His paintings can be found in collections in the USA, Great Britain, Switzerland, France, Greece, Germany and Australia. Paul is represented by the Medici Gallery in London. 

Winner of many awards,including Illustrator of the Year, D & AD pencil, Glenfiddich Award, Paul was included in the top ten British illustrators by The Independent newspaper.

The book, Fried Eggs in Brine,  was an opportunity for Paul to show through absurdity and fine draughtmanship, the absurdity of war. Falmouth University  gave him the opportunity to do so through their publishing arm Atlantic Press.This was produced in a signed,  limited edition of 1000.
